HOUSE SERVICES MANAGER

McCarter Theatre Center has an immediate opening for a House Services Manager. The House Services Manager will facilitate Front of House operations to create an atmosphere of surprise and delight for our patrons. This position will have a wide range of responsibilities, including supporting an enthusiastic Front of House staff, managing concessions, oversight of the volunteer usher program, leadership of patron Access programs, managing day to day operations and scheduling, and collaborating with McCarter staff and outside vendors to best support and promote McCarter events. Position requirements include a minimum of two to three years management experience and a proven track record providing excellent customer service.

Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive with similar positions throughout the country. DATA ANALYTICS MANAGER

McCarter Theatre Center is accepting applications for the position of Data Analytics Manager. The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for tracking and analyzing patron data and engagement patterns for all of McCarter’s programming, managing the measurement of results from various sales channels, and developing best practice revenue management strategies. The ideal candidate will be personable and collaborative, possess a passion for the performing arts, and have a deep understanding and interest in data and analytics. Position requirements include a minimum of three years previous experience in marketing and/or sales, exceptional communications skills, strong computer knowledge, and experience with CRM/ticketing system database (Tessitura preferred).

The start date for this position is scheduled for early July 2017. Salary is commensurate with experience and competitive with similar positions throughout the country. SECURITY STEWARD

McCarter Theatre Center, located in Princeton, NJ, is hiring motivated Security Stewards to work evening and weekend performances throughout our September to June season.  McCarter is an equal opportunity employer, deeply committed to hiring, supporting, and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Security Stewards play an important role in the guest experience, creating positive moments for our patrons from the very first welcome through the end of the performance.  Responsibilities include:  managing the flow of traffic in our parking areas; facilitating VIP and accessible parking needs; ensuring that patrons move in and out of the theater safely; checking to make sure that fire exits are clear; contacting the appropriate authorities if the need arises; and assisting performing artists when they interact with patrons.  Successful candidates will exhibit a friendly and welcoming disposition, and have an enthusiasm for the performing arts.  Availability to work weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.  Must be able to stand for up to four hours at a time, work outside, climb stairs repeatedly, and lift and carry equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.  Dress code is business casual. One year of prior experience working with the public is preferred.  Final candidates must successfully complete a background check.

PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT CASUAL LABOR – STAGE OPERATIONS

McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ has opportunities for casual employment in stage lighting and stage carpentry. Assignments include load-in, focus and strike of our Theatre Series productions and Presented events and may occasionally include run crew positions. Applicants should have previous professional back stage experience, must be able to lift heavy equipment and scenery and be comfortable working on ladders and elevated platforms. Stage rigging, scene shop carpentry or audio experience also a plus.

McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, NJ has opportunities for casual employment in scenic carpentry and metal fabrication. These assignments require demonstrated proficiency in theatrical set construction and prior experience in a professional shop setting. Work may also include participation in load-ins and strike of our Theatre Series productions and Presented events. Applicants must be able to lift and carry heavy materials and scenery.
