McCarter Theatre is devoted to creating enriching theatrical experiences for students in grades K-12. Whether here in Princeton, or in schools throughout New Jersey, more than 30,000 students participate in our educational programs every year. Programs include after-school classes, student matinees of our main-stage productions, in-school playwriting residencies, and touring productions created especially for children.

Over the years, McCarter Education has brought innovative and exciting theatre into schools all across New Jersey. And this year is no different. With two great programs to choose from, students and teachers alike will take an interactive journey that is unlike any other. The Odyssey Experience is back this March and April for a third season while workshop performances of our newest show, The Epic of Sunjata, one of the greatest legends of West Africa, are available throughout the month of February.
