At First Stage, we focus on each student’s personal and artistic growth. Through the art of theater, we foster the development of social skills, self-confidence, team work, commitment, empathy, and the courage to take risks in a safe environment. First Stage students have the opportunity to work with professional artists, directors, and educators who encourage exploration and teach theater fundamentals to the interests and abilities of each student. Our goal is to create an inclusive community where students and their families forge a lifelong investment in the arts. Whether your student has years of theater experience or is investigating theater for the first time, we hope you will join us and become part of the First Stage family. Junior Company members (3-5th grade) can enjoy acting in a fullly realized play or musical, participate in fast paced and fun workshops, or BOTH!
Senior Company members (6-8th grade) can have a Musical Experience or enter the Young Actors Studio!
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, a tremendous First State Production event, will bring students in grades 3-8 together on one stage to bring to life one of Shakespeare's greatest tales.
