Along with our many individual donors, McCarter Theatre receives contributions from more than 80 corporations and foundations as well as grants from government agencies such as the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, and the New Jersey Cultural Trust.

In addition to supporting the work seen on stage, gifts from foundations and government agencies often underwrite costs associated with arts education programs. Foundation and government support also plays a crucial role in furthering McCarter's undertaking to create new works for the American repertoire.  Other contributions help provide affordable, accessible theater for our patrons. Reduced ticket prices for students and seniors, assisted listening devices and a fully accessible facility allow the widest possible audience to utilize McCarter’s facility and enjoy its wide range of programs.

Many businesses also star as Corporate Sponsors program and purchase tables to McCarter’s annual Gala Benefit
