Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL Filibuster Read-Aloud
Saturday, December 3, 2016
2:00 – 5:30pm
Princeton Public Library
To usher in the spirit of the season and in anticipation of the premiere of McCarter Theatre Center’s exciting reimagined production of Dickens’ classic holiday tale, we hoped you joined us for a public reading of the 1843 novella. This was a wonderful opportunity to return to the beloved Victorian masterpiece—the original “Ghost-Story”—or to experience the literary genius of Charles Dickens for the very first time.
We read the entire story from start to finish in the Community Room. All were invited and encouraged to attend—individuals, families, book clubs, and groups—and participate by reading a portion of the book. All reading levels were welcomed!
This event was free and open to the public.
