Lydia Diamond Speaks
Posted by Adam Immerwahr on August 15th, 2007
So I conducted my interview with Lydia Diamond this weekend at the Carousel Diner in Princeton. Yum. I had a mushroom omelet with swiss cheese. I recorded the interview with my computer, and the edited transcript will appear in the online resource guide (coming soon, I promise). If you want the audio version, you can listen to it here.
I don’t know if the technology of this will work, but you should be able to right click “save file as” or something and download this to your computer. So, um, you can put it on your iPod or something.
Just think - you could listen to Lydia Diamond while jogging.
This was my first time sharing the audio for a McCarter interview, and I learned a lot. Next time, I’ll make sure to record myself better.
As it was, I had to edit out some of the questions cause you couldn’t hear me anyway, so Lydia sounds way more rambly than she is in real life. So, yeah, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this (and any suggestions you have for future audio interviews). Post a comment below or shoot me an e-mail.
Thanks to Jono’s comment for a great interview question. I had to edit the question out (cause you couldn’t hear me over the diner noises), but you can still hear Lydia’s answer, if you listen carefully.
