INSIDE STORY

Inside Story for Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike
from October 2012.

Join us 45 minutes before any performance of Murder on the Orient Express for a 20-minute talk led by a member of McCarter’s artistic staff.

Hear about what inspired Agatha Christie to create her most famous character—the great detective Hercule Poirot—in his greatest story and led playwright Ken Ludwig and director Emily Mann to partner to bring him to the stage in the first ever theatrical adaptation of Murder on the Orient Express. Additionally, we will talk about the joys and challenges the production’s Tony Award-winning design team faced in their creation of the world of the play, and offer a few things to look and listen out for as you experience the play in performance. Don’t worry—we promise not to give any of the mystery away!

Location: The Inside Story for Murder on the Orient Express will take place in the Matthews Theatre. Please sneak in quietly if the talk has already begun.
