Ten Cents a Dance
in Conversation: Music, Memory and Multiplicity

Saturday, October 1

In Conversation is an illuminating symposium-style discussion among leading scholars, artists, and other public figures that fosters cross-disciplinary exploration of big questions and concepts in McCarter’s plays. Each event in the 2011-2012 In Conversation series will focus on the theme of cultural memory.

Ten Cents a Dance in Conversation will feature:

Dr. Stacy Wolf, award-winning musical theatre scholar, and author of Changed for Good: A Feminist History of the Broadway Musical

Steve Mackey, renowned contemporary composer and professor of Music at Princeton University

John Szwed, Director of the Center for Jazz Studies at Columbia University and Grammy winner for his book, Doctor Jazz

In Conversation will take place on stage, directly following the 3pm performance; approximate start time 4:30pm

In Conversation is made possible by a Princeton Partners Grant and is presented as part of the year-long Princeton community collaboration Memory and the Work of Art. For a full list of In Conversation dates and topics, please visit: www.mccarter.org/connect
