One of Russia’s best-kept dance secrets, the State Ballet Theatre of Russia has become a favorite of McCarter audiences with its recent performances of Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet. Based in the city of Veronezh, this company of 50 returns with a new production of another great ballet classic: Cinderella, set to the familiar Prokofiev score and choreographed by Vladimir Vasiliev, a legendary figure in Soviet dance and one-time premier danseur with the Bolshoi Ballet.
