Paco Peña’s solo recitals of flamenco music are the stuff of legend, “dazzling an audience beyond the frets of modern man” (The New York Times). But in recent years, he has added his own hand-picked company of dancers, guitarists, and singers, resulting in a rendition of what the art of flamenco truly represents: a spontaneous collaboration between artists of different disciplines. In Flamenco Vivo, his goal is to transmit a range of flamenco rhythms, from the trance-inducing quality of the alborea to the razor-sharp complexity of the buleria.
“These are people you want at your party. Or better: you want to be at their party and that’s what a Paco Peña concert is like.” – New York Times
