When one banjo is not enough, how about seven? In this banjo jamboree, Béla Fleck (of Flecktone fame) will be joined by six fellow pickers in performances ranging from solos and duets to full-tilt blowouts, and musically from bluegrass and country to more unconventional genres, like jazz, classical, and rock. Tony Trischka is a bluegrass banjo master and was the young Béla Fleck’s teacher. Bill Keith was a member of both Bill Monroe’s Bluegrass Boys and the Jim Kewskin Jug Band, while Eric Weissberg was one-half of the signature Dueling Banjos instrumental on the Deliverance soundtrack. Richie Stearns plays with jam and trend-setting bands and Noam Pikelny is part of The Punch Brothers.
