Throughout his own career, Arlo Guthrie has honored his father in song as well as in life, and he has long paid homage to this legacy with his own renditions of Woody’s songs. Since childhood, he was amazed by the creative genius of his dad and his friends that would drop by, experiences that helped the son become a delineative figure for a new generation. Now, with the centennial of Woody’s 100th birthday approaching, Arlo honors the enduring commitment of his father with an evening of songs and stories reflecting his immeasurable contributions to the landscape of American folk music.
