Join us for a lively on-stage conversation about the many artistic and political revolutions explored in Tom Stoppard’s Travesties. The discussion will be followed by a book signing with panelist Andrei Codrescu in the Lockwood Lobby.
Featuring:
NPR Correspondent Andrei Codrescu, author of The Posthuman Dada Guide: Tzara and Lenin Play Chess. Historian Paul LeBlanc, author of Marx, Lenin, and the Revolutionary Experience: Studies of Communism and Radicalism in an Age of Globalization. David Kurnick, scholar of the history of the novel and narrative theory, author of Empty Houses: Theatrical Failure and the Novel, which includes a chapter on James Joyce.
Michael Cadden, Incoming Chair of Lewis Center for the Arts, expert on modern drama, Tom Stoppard, and intertextuality.
