After School Classes
McCarter offers after school classes for students in pre-K through high school. In addition to teaching theater technique such as vocal projection, physical presence, and embodying characters on stage, McCarter’s programs also focus on each student’s personal growth. Through the art of theater, we foster the development of skills such as confidence, collaboration, creativity, persistence, empathy, and the courage to take risks in a safe environment. We aim to nurture the kind of creative ownership and personal agency that can only come from treating each participant as a young artist with an important and unique artistic voice.
Our students work with experienced professional actors, directors, and educators who teach to the interests and abilities of each student. Whether your child has years of experience or is trying theater for the first time, McCarter After School will offer a meaningful and joyful learning experience.
