Presented Series

The Presented Series offers an innovative mix of performances and cultural attractions that entertain audiences throughout central New Jersey. Led and programmed by William W. Lockwood, Jr. since his days as a Princeton University student some five decades ago, the Presented Series has become a touchstone of arts and cultural literacy. McCarter's programs rival any performing arts series in the country.

Internationally renowned artists who have performed at McCarter and regularly appear on our stages include: the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Mary Chapin Carpenter, David Sedaris, Yo-Yo Ma, Cecilia Bartoli, Midori, Penn & Teller, Twyla Tharp, the Mark Morris Dance Group, Audra McDonald, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Chris Botti, and Joshua Bell, among others.
