Concordia Chamber Players

The brightest talents of the chamber music world come together to perform as members of the Concordia Chamber Players. Individually they enjoy active careers as soloists and chamber musicians at major chamber music festivals such as Tanglewood, Marlboro, and the Lincoln Center Festival. A perennial favorite with our Festival audience, the Concordia Chamber Players return this season for an engaging program of Beethoven, Kodály, and Mendelssohn.

Jazzmeia Horn

Grammy-nominated vocalist Jazzmeia Horn has a name that speaks for itself, capturing her very essence. Since winning the Thelonious Monk Competition in 2015, Jazzmeia’s star has continued to rise, along with her reputation as an artist with an assured maturity and a vocal confidence far beyond her years. Her sophisticated vocals earned her a 2018 Grammy Award nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album.

Opera | Nixon in China

A contemporary masterpiece, Nixon in China transforms the details of Richard Nixon's visit to the People's Republic of China in 1972 into a story of deep emotion and political conflict. With an acclaimed score by John Adams and an inspired libretto by Alice Goodman, Nixon in China encourages us to think deeply about the power of performance and the nature of political speech. It is truly an opera for our time.
