We hope you joined us for an engaging moderated conversation with Detroit ‘67 director Jade King Carroll.
Returning to her “artistic home,” Carroll discussed Dominique Morisseau’s inspiration for and creation of Detroit ’67, and talked about what makes the play personally meaningful and socially and artistically important in the present historical moment. She also chatted about her artistic process and vision for the play and shared information on her design collaborators’ creative approaches to capturing the environment, atmosphere, attire, and soundtrack of a working-class Motor City family and home in the midst of a turbulent uprising. And she entertained questions and reflections from the audience.
