Dialogue on Drama
SUNDAY, JANUARY 20, 2019
Venue Berlind Stage
Admission No RSVP or ticket is required to attend the discussion; it is free and open to the public.
Please join us for an engaging, moderated conversation with The Niceties playwright Eleanor Burgess and director Kimberly Senior.
Burgess will share the details behind what inspired her to write the play—set in the office of an American history professor—and will talk about her artist’s journey and her own connection to the study of history. Likewise, Senior will reflect on her background as a history teacher, discuss what drew her to Burgess’s world-premiere play, and outline the joys and challenges of directing such a complex and conflict-filled “two-hander.” And then they will entertain questions and personal reflections on the play from members of the audience.
We encourage you to attend this illuminating (and free!) special event, regardless of when you see The Niceties in performance.
This Dialogue on Drama post-show event will begin at approximately 4:00pm.
This event is free and open to the public. No RSVP or ticket is required.
