With five Grammy awards (most recently for Beautiful Life and recognition as a 2018 NEA “Jazz Master,” Dianne Reeves has carved out her place as a magnificent jazz vocalist. Her voice is magical and timeless, but it’s the sheer force of her performance that sets her apart. She returns this February for the first time since 2005 with a special Valentine’s Day program. Joining her will be Peter Martin, Romero Lubambo, Reginald Veal and Terreon Gully.

As the world’s premier pipa virtuoso and leading ambassador of Chinese music, Wu Man has given the lute-like instrument a new role in both traditional and contemporary music. McCarter audiences may be familiar with her work already as one of the founding members and lead soloists of the Silk Road Ensemble, alongside prodigious cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Her return to Princeton will be accompanied by Yang Yi playing the zheng.
