Dialogue on Drama
SUNDAY, JANUARY 19, 2020 following the 2:00pm matinee performance (approximately 3:45pm)
Venue Berlind Theatre
Join us for an engaging moderated conversation with McCarter Artistic Director and Resident Playwright Emily Mann and Goodnight Nobody director Tyne Rafaeli.
Emily will talk about her and McCarter’s artistic relationship with playwright Rachel Bonds, Rachel’s McCarter commissions, and her amazing gift—as Emily characterizes it—“of understanding the human heart on a Chekhovian level.” Both Emily and Tyne will discuss the development process of Goodnight Nobody, and then Tyne will provide her perspective on the themes and questions at the heart of the play and how they inform the visual, aural, and kinetic design of the production.
It is certain to be an illuminating event regardless of when you experience the play in performance.
No RSVP or ticket is required to attend this discussion; it is free and open to the public.
NOW – FEBRUARY 9, 2020
By Rachel Bonds
Directed by Tyne Rafaeli
Featuring two-time Emmy Award winner Dana Delany.
What are the consequences of love?
In this hilarious and powerful new play, a group of old friends reconnect after years apart. They reminisce with wild abandon, until the things they aren't telling each other come hurtling to the surface.
