Joint Recital:

Christian Tetzlaff, violin & Lars Vogt, piano

MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2019

Venue Richardson Auditorium

OVERVIEW

There is no other violinist who has so thoroughly captured the attention of critics and audiences like Christian Tetzlaff. In his hands, familiar works appear in a completely new light—he perceives them as narratives which reflect personal experiences. Which helps explain why he has been repeatedly invited to be the Artist-in-Residence with orchestras around the world, including the Berlin Philharmonic, and as the focus of one of Carnegie Hall’s Perspectives Series. Tetzlaff’s longtime music partner, Lars Vogt, has played with every orchestra under the sun and on every continent. Their program combines the familiar and the challenging: Sonatas by Beethoven, Franck, and Shostakovich.

This concert will take place at Richardson Auditorium.
