An evening of nostalgia, good music, and light humor…
The Syncopated Times
The Palast Orchester was founded in 1986 by Max Raabe and a group of fellow music students in order to play music from the period of Germany´s Golden Twenties.
In 1992 they found themselves in the German charts with their song “Kein Schwein ruft mich an” (meaning “not a single pig calls me”), written by Max Raabe. Since then, Max Raabe & Palast Orchester tour regularly to the USA and Canada where they give concerts in famous venues like Chicago Symphony Hall, Davies Hall in San Francisco and New York´s Carnegie Hall.
Since January 2018 their new show "Der perfekte Moment... wird heut verpennt" has been on tour through German speaking countries. It is named after the newest album written by Max Raabe in cooperation with top German "pop-experts" and is made up of a mixture of songs from the album and original 20s arrangements.
All ticketholders are invited to join us from 6:30pm–7:00pm for an informative chat with Ian Wekwerth, pianist of Max Raabe & Palast Orchester, as he introduces the orchestra, the Weimar Era and the composers/lyricists that you will be enjoying later at the evening's concert.
The performance will begin at 7:30pm.
