The Wolves

Sarah Rasmussen took the helm at McCarter in 2020 and is thrilled to carry on its long tradition of championing new voices onstage. Prior to McCarter, Rasmussen was Artistic Director of the Jungle Theater in Minneapolis, where in recognition of her leadership she was named Star Tribune’s Artist of the Year. Rasmussen also served as Resident Director for Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Black Swan Lab new work development program and Head of MFA Directing at the University of Texas at Austin. She is an alum of the Women’s Project, SoHo Rep., and Lincoln Center Directing Labs. She has directed at Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Guthrie, Dallas Theater Center, Actors Theater of Louisville, La Jolla Playhouse, and will be bringing McCarter’s Ride the Cyclone to Arena Stage. She has developed new work with Playwrights’ Center, the O’Neill, the Lark, and many others. She was an inaugural recipient of the BOLD Leadership Circle grant and is also the recipient of a Princess Grace Award, an Ivey Award for Overall Excellence, and Drama League and Fulbright fellowships. As a director, she loves inclusive projects that have a sense of humor, sublime visual theatricality and strong roles for women – both onstage and behind the scenes.   

Renea S. Brown is thrilled to make her debut at The McCarter Theatre! Katie Griffith (she/her) is honored to be a part of The Wolves. She has performed Off-Broadway in the revival of Seesaw at Theatre Row and regionally around the country at theaters like The Muny, Music Theatre Wichita, 5th Avenue, North Shore Music Theatre, and Village Theatre. She has been lucky enough to be part of several of new works, starring as Sweetie in the world premiere of The Tutor, Sheila Nail in Joe Iconis’ Love In Hate Nation, and Mercy Rider in ZM written by the Tony-winning writers of Urinetown Greg Kotis and Mark Hollman. Recently, Katie was in An American in Paris at Cape Playhouse directed and choreographed by Emmy-winner Al Blackstone and made her directorial debut at New London Barn Playhouse as director/choreographer for the Straw Hat Revue. She is a Penn State BFA Musical Theatre alum and former corps member of MK Ballet. When she is not on stage, Katie works as a freelance choreographer and dance teacher in New York. Owen Laheen is an actor from Wicklow, Ireland. They are delighted to be making their McCarter Theatre debut. Off-Broadway: Belfast Girls (Irish Repertory Theatre). TV: City On A Hill (Showtime). JASMINE SHARMA (she/her) is a South Asian-American actor/writer/activist based in Los Angeles. Recently, she was seen in WIVES  (Aurora Theatre Company), and worked with The 24 Hour Plays both as a writer and actor. Her writing has been recently produced by Jackalope Theatre in Chicago and Moxie Arts NYC. Jasmine a 2022-2023 Reel Sisters Fellow through GRO Up: A Web Series, which she co-wrote and stars in, premiering October 2022 at The Reel Sisters Film Festival. Liz Hayes (she/her)  

Previous McCarter credits include: Skylight and A Christmas Carol (Voice & Dialect Coach) and Into the Woods with Fiasco Theater (Actor). She is currently the Resident Voice & Dialect Coach for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway and has coached both on and Off-Broadway and for numerous theater companies including Playwrights Horizons, the Roundabout Theatre Co., Second Stage Theater, Huntington Theatre Co. and Audible Theater/Audible.com. Liz is the Head of Voice & Speech in the MFA Acting Program at Columbia University and a member of AEA, SAG-AFTRA, VASTA and The Actors Center.  

Heather Driscoll joined NLSA in the fall of 2021 working with the YDP program. Driscoll comes to NLSA with years of youth club, Olympic Development, high school, and college coaching experience. Prior to moving to New Jersey, she was a youth club coach and administrator with Connecticut Football Club while also working as an assistant coach for the Stony Brook University Women’s Soccer Team. Heather also spent time in California as an assistant coach for the University of California at Irvine Women’s Soccer team. 

Before getting involved in college coaching, Heather spent time in Connecticut working for legendary United States Women’s National Team and World Cup Champion Coach, Tony DiCicco. Heather coached for his club, SoccerPlus, and helped to organize and run youth camps across the country. During this time, she also played for Tony on the SoccerPlus CT Reds WPSL semi-professional team, which won the 2019 National Championship. 

Heather, formerly Hathorn, played D1 soccer at the University of Maine where she was named captain in her senior year and led the team to three America East Conference Championship games in her four years. Heather still holds team records for most goals and points in a career. In 2019, she was inducted into the University of Maine Athletic Hall of Fame.  

Driscoll has her NSCAA (now United Soccer Coaches) National Diploma and NSCAA (now United Soccer Coaches) National Goalkeeping Diploma. 

Heather along with her husband Sean, Princeton Women’s Soccer Coach, live in Pennington with their two daughters, Braelyn and Beckett.
