In Musical Mash Up Palooza, young artists learn to blend favorite songs and stories into their own imaginative mini musicals—think fairy tale princesses meeting space explorers! Through playful singing, guided story building, and simple choreography, children practice sharing ideas, taking creative risks, and listening to one another. As they collaborate to remix characters and craft new scenes, students boost confidence in front of the group, build empathy by stepping into each other’s roles, and sharpen communication skills. Sketch Comedy Lab
Ages 8-12
Step into the fast, funny world of sketch comedy—where improvisation sparks the ideas, and writing shapes them into finished scenes. In this class, students will use playful improv games to generate characters and situations, then learn how to craft those moments into structured sketches with clear beginnings, strong comedic builds, and satisfying endings. Together, we’ll revise, rehearse, and perform original material—practicing timing, character work, and stage skills in a supportive ensemble.
It’s a great next step for students who’ve explored improv—and also a welcoming, beginner-friendly way to jump into comedy for the first time.
Join us for a special final session where families can enjoy a showcase of our original sketches!
How this differs from Improv: Improv creates scenes in the moment; Sketch Comedy turns those ideas into written, repeatable scenes that students refine and perform.
