Musical Theatre Intensive with Broadway’s Michael Schimmele

Get ready to sing, dance, and act your way to center stage with our Musical Theatre Intensive Masterclass! In this action-packed two-hour workshop, you’ll step into a mock Broadway rehearsal room and learn material from a hit musical while working on choreography, character development, vocal technique, and more. You’ll work with a Broadway-credited Musical Theatre professional to develop your skills, deepen your understanding of the industry, and experience the joy of the work. 

About the Instructor:  
Michael Schimmele is a Broadway performer and teaching artist in New York City! Michael is currently starring in Disney’s Aladdin on Broadway. Michael has also worked extensively in regional theaters such as Paper Mill Playhouse, The MUNY, Asolo Repertory Theater, Pioneer Theater Company, North Carolina Theater, STAGES St. Louis, North Shore Music Theater, to name a few. Some highlights include: Frozen (Oaken, regional premiere), Rent (Angel Standby), Sister Act (Pablo), In the Heights (Piragua Guy), Grease (Roger), Crazy For You (Jimmy), The View UpStairs (Freddy, regional premiere). Michael holds a BFA in Music Theater from Elon University and is a member of Actors Equity Association. Michael hopes to cultivate a love for the arts in young artists as well as to celebrate what makes each and every artist unique. 

Industry Insights: Casting Workshop with Daryl Eisenberg

Step into the audition room from the casting side of the table! In this dynamic workshop, industry casting director Daryl Eisenberg will break down what really happens behind the scenes, from self-tapes to final callbacks, while working directly with participants on audition material, room etiquette, and making a lasting impression. Perfect for emerging teen performers and professionals alike, this session offers practical feedback, honest insight, and actionable tools you can use in your next audition.

About the Instructor:  
Daryl Eisenberg, CSA (she/her) - Owner of Eisenberg Casting - an Artios-nominated full-service casting office with extensive experience casting for Film, TV, Broadway, Theater, Commercials, Voiceover, and New Media. Daryl has cast for Broadway, off-Broadway, National Tours, and major regional theater houses. Her films have played major festivals such as Sundance, Venice, Tribeca, TIFF, SXSW, San Diego, Cleveland, Atlanta, Soho, and have also received distribution theatrically and streaming. Daryl is the chair of the Somerset County Film Commission and is a former Watchung Borough Councilmember.
