Created by Silverback Films in collaboration with 165 paleontologists and Earth scientists worldwide, the series grounds every dinosaur — from feather placement to movement and behavior — in the latest scientific research. Partnering with Industrial Light & Magic, the team blended cutting-edge CGI, wildlife studies, and real-world environments to create astonishingly lifelike creatures unseen for 66 million years.

Host Adam Chapman is an experienced wildlife filmmaker whose career has spanned more than 25 years, from landmark BBC Natural History Unit productions to bringing unseen worlds and prehistoric creatures to life. He worked on such acclaimed series as Wild Africa, Life, Big Cat Diaries, Bear Diary, Orangutan Diaries, Wildlife on One, Bill Oddie Goes Wild and Springwatch. He later joined Silverback Films, where he directed and produced projects including North America for Discovery and Disneynature’s feature film Bears, before going on to work on Netflix’s Our Planet. With his rare perspective across both landmark natural history filmmaking and the recreation of extinct life for the screen, Adam offers audiences a fascinating insight into how the Dinosaurs in Life on Our Planet were brought to life.
